Does grooming snowboarding trails remove icy snow?

How many inches of Base snow and Top/Upper snow is needed for it not to be icy when snowboarding?

Base doesn't matter for power and ice.. Ice is more based on wind/weather conditions and location of the runs. If there's no base just make sure you bring your rock board/skis. Becuase your bound to get a core shot. Haha.
