  • Alright so i've had my burton snowboard for about 4 years and its a 156 and it handles good, and i'm looking to buy a new K2 WWW and i don't know whether to get a 155 or 158. I'm 6'1 ...show more

  • Answer:

Both sizes will be fine for you. If you find yourself riding more park and pipe, I would opt for the shorter length, and if you ride more steeps and trees and pow i'd get the longer, but either length will fit your fine (I am 6'0", 175lbs, and I ride a 155, but I ride at Bear Mtn, CA, and often wish I had a longer board when I was riding powder in Utah, but the 155 still gets the job don. I just shift my binders back about 3/4 of an inch.

i would go with a 155. since you are looking to buy a WWW you do know that they are designed off cambered this season meaning instead of the board being cambered toward the snow its cambered up, like the Lib tech skate banana. so it sounds like you are going to be doing alot of rails and park stuff. so i would go with the 155, it is easier to menouver, spin, press, and do whatever you want with it. the smaller the board the easier it is to spin. but in the end i would choose the 155

158

Get O\/\/ned Upon

usally they put a weight chart on the back of the board aand this is the best way to tell, because all boards are made differently. if you fit in to both weight ranges determine wether you want a freestyle board in which you would op for the shorter board if you want more of a freeride board op for the longer one. But being that your looking at the WWW your most likely a freestyle person. http://www.k2snowboards.com/files/k2_snowboard_specs.pdf

I would go with the longer board...a 158 will give you more all mountain dominance..

I'd actually get a 161, but if they don't sell that board in that size, get the 158.
