What women's burton board should i get?

  • this is only my second year snowboarding. im getting my own board but i dont know what to look for. what board is good for like beginners to intermediate? how do i know what size i ...show more

  • Answer:

As you are a begineer to intermediate rider i think the best board for you out of Burtons current range would be the Burton Feather. Its an all mountain board so can be used for all types of riding freestyle, freeriding and powder, and as its an entry level board it will be easy to learn and progress on. I wouldent go for a Feelgood though i think it would be too advanced for you. You would be ok with a Troop but it is more of a freestyle board than an all mountain board another one you could look into is the Burton Lux. There are many other good boards available than just Burton though, i would recommend that you check out and demo (if you can) some other brands. Some other boards that would suit you are Ride Vista K2 Luna Atomic Tika Atomic Tuesday Nitro Mystique Rome Vinyl Sapient Fluid Salomon Maiden I cant help you with what size board you need as i need to know your weight for that. Feel free to email your weight and i can then tell you what size you need, Good luck.

I need your weight please to tell you what size of board you need to be riding. But for model of burton board I would get either a troop or a feelgood. The feelgood would be a really good board for progressing in the freeride deparment (steep runs) and has excellent pop for jumps. It's not that flexible so it wouldn't be a very good park board, but it works great for half pipe. The troop is a softer more freestyle driven board. The reason I put this one down is if you prefer a softer board then I would buy this one. It's all up to you but I would go w/ the feelgood. It might take you a little while to get used to the stiffness of that board but once you got the hang of it that board would be exactly what you needed I think!!! Hope this helped and please post weight so we can get you set up w/ the right size. Edit: After 2 years of snowboarding I got the Burton Feelgood and it was not too advanced for me. It isn't as "stiff and hard to control" for intermediates as most people think..the Feelgood ES is though-do NOT get this board...yet lol. I think you'll do great w/ the Feelgood as you are in the same position as I was last year:) I owned the Feather before the Feelgood and for 2 years (you have riden two years) it suited my needs but after 2 years I found I wanted a longer and slightly more advanced board. The feather is also a pretty flexible board and I think you'll want something a little stiffer since you are not a beginner begginer and would like to try jumps! Anyways... Happy snowboarding!
