Is there a ski carrier out there for use on a hatchback?

How do you open and use a Ski Tote ski and ski pole carrier?

  From what I remember there must be a little latch or something that opens up the tote, place the skis inside the tote between the bindings, with the ski bases facing each other, Then place the poles into the cut-outs for the poles, bring the two sides of the tote together, latch, and slide the lock through. Use the carry handle to carry the skis, and if you have the cable lock, sling that over your shoulder to help carry the weight. The Ski Totes may not work with today's integrated binding systems because the bindings are just to high up off the skis, and the tote won't expand that far. It was designed for the old straight skis with flat bindings, like during the 1980's-1990's.
