Why do you prefer snowboarding or skiing?

Why do people prefer skiing than snowboarding?

  • Wondering cause some friends and I are going on mini vacation this weekend. Majority of them are gonna ski while me and 2 others gonna snow board. Why skiing than snowboarding?

  • Answer:

    I grew up with skiing and ski racing, snowboarding hadn't been invented yet. I kind of like the independence of each foot/leg, not 2 feet strapped to one board. I don't see a bunch of skiers sitting on the snow after they get off the chairlift, and skiing's easier on older knees.

theres no real answer to this question. it is personal preference. i can do both but prefer to ski and will snowboard a few times a year. my brother can do both but prefers to snowboard. personally i found snowboarding was much easier to learn but it is different for everybody.
