How often to wax cross country skis?

For traditional waxable cross country skis, you should apply kick wax every time you use them. You also need to apply the appropriate wax for the snow temperature. At the very least you need to have 4-5 different temperature waxes and possibly klister. As for glide wax, you should hot wax every 50 miles or so.
