  • Answer:

You don't need a degree to be a paranormal investigator. You just start calling yourself one. That's what everyone else is doing. There's no degree, license, or certification for that. Colleges don't teach you how to investigate things that don't exist. Now, if you want to get some experience learning how to do actual science, get a PhD in physics. But the more you learn about how science is actually done and what all those shiny meters from RadioShack actually measure, the less you'll believe in the paranormal.

I'm not sure who you talked to, but I'm pretty sure that most paranormal investigators (ie. the guys you see on TV) have no degrees. Parapsychological researchers such as Loyd Auerbach and Dean Radin generally have quite differing degrees. Auerbach has a degree in cultural anthropology and Radin has degrees in electrical engineering and educational psychology. My advice is to find some reputable researchers and then check what kind of degrees they have.
