Does anyone actually live in a haunted house?

I had nothing happen for the first year, then it was crazy since I seen at least four different ghost and spirits the past four years, but only one communicates with me. And I basically had a fight with one, believe it or not got the upper hand, and some help from the one that communicates. My son saw a few of them or a few times. The one that communicates I had on and off contact and communication four four years. But it has slowed down the past four to five months, she came just two weeks ago, her name is Erica, she had a lot to say but this time I couldn't understand the words she spoke. Sometimes it's clear and other times not. She floats, another walks through the floor and walls, another on the floor, and the bad boy I got rid of. I don't mind when they speak, and are of a gentle nature, but I won't stand for one that gets to pushy:) At first I thought the place was haunted until I now understand them better, I am not scare anymore, I look forward to Erica's visits. She comes from a higher dimension, some perhaps come from attach antiques that I buy, perhaps some come home with me from the hospital I work at, I had one there come up to me, I do believe one to live in the back room I don't use much, or that is the residual one that walks through the walls. Some may call my place haunted, But now that I feel use to it, like many other places I lived and seen or felt their presence, they are everywhere. So I don't feel my place to be haunted, just normal:)

The house that i used to live in when i was a teenager was damn haunted, not only i was tormented by the spirit, i couldn't even sleep at night cuz i would fee like someone trying to choke me to death, i was once dragged by my hair from my bed to the floor. I used to see lots of things from black shadow to dead people, it traumatise me so much til my mum have to called in a medium. I remember one particular incident, it haunt me till this day. It happened at night when everyone was up, i was a alone in my room, i was lying down on my bed and suddenly i heard my bed room door slam close, i was shocked, i wanted to get up, but i couldn't , my body felt like it was held down by someone, and i could hear strange verse when being whisper into my ears, i tried to shouted but there nothing, i was so scared, i prayed to God not to let me die. I just continued to pray til the spirit decided to let go of me, it felt like forever,i actually thought i was dead. When the spirit decided to let go, i shout ontop of my lungs. My mum came to my room,and she kept asking why was i crying, i told her that my room was haunted and i refused to be in the room She saw the bruised on my hand and necks. Next day, my mum called her friend who was a medium, Her medium friend, was so scared to enter my room, calling it is haunted. She said not to stay in the house any longer and it is out to tormented us. My mum decided to move the following years. At first my mum was skeptical til she saw maggot surfacing at our kitchen floor and bats and dead grasshopper keep appearing out of nowhere. I stayed in apartment it's in not located in any forested areas or parks.

I grew up in a house where voices and footsteps on the stairs would sometimes be heard. It's about 140 years old. Over the years, the room below mine would frequently sound like a conversation between men was going on. The house was detached and the TV wasn't on. A family friend was feeding the fish when my parents were on holiday. She heard talking in that room and walked in to say hello, thinking they'd returned early. It was empty. 3 years ago, I was there alone and watching TV. I was surprised to hear the front door slam shut because I'd locked it. It had chimes on the back and they jingled. I looked and it was stilll locked. There were other odd things, but I won't go on. Family and friends all heard something at some point, it wasn't just me! Funnily enough, I'm pretty skeptical about it all. The stairs that footsteps are heard on? My father put the stairs there when they bought the house. The chimes on the door were put there by my mother. I don't believe in ghosts and I've never had the experience anywhere else. My parents still live there and from time to time still hear noises. There'll be an explanation, I just haven't nailed it yet.

If there is a such thing, I don't think you'd love it. I've never experienced it and wouldn't want to. For one thing, every vivid sound you hear, you'd have to check to make sure it isn't someone breaking in and then you would be lacking for sleep. If you'd ever watched "A Haunting" on the discovery channel (based upon many different individuals accounts of their haunted house experiences), most all of them moved out to get away from it because they claim many bad and violent things take place. It's more fun to watch and wonder about than it would be to experience it.

No, you wouldn't. I don't think houses are haunted, I think people are haunted. Why would a spirit have any interest in a house, as they can move through walls and such. I don't know, I know people that believe all sorts of things, I think its them.

I have lived in 2 confirmed houses, I have captured evps, photo's and video from this homes. In my first home, I had a room that was 20 degrees cooler then the rest of the home, it had a must smell even after fresh paint, carpet and new walls. and it did not matter how many plug-ins I put in there. I would come home to things being turned off I had left on. (and no a power flash would not have turned them off ) Things would open on their own and they would be screwed shut. The 2nd home something would throw things, I mean like cookbooks and 2 liter soda bottles. We would here a infant crying and a dog barking between the hours of 1 am and 4 am, we had no dog and my child was sleeping soundly. I also believe people can be haunted also as I have a 6 year old little girl that has been the victim in all my homes. Sadly I have not been able to rid this spirit. My daughter has been scratched and smacked, since she was 9 months old. I have witnessed it. No she is not possessed but something is attached to her and I just want it gone. This hag is the reason for us moving 4 times in 6 years thinking she just was unlucky or had a connection with the afterlife. We now live in a home built for us and I know the land history all the way back to 1856, there has been nothing here or in the vicinity to cause a haunting and yet she was attacked just the other night.

My last 2 homes had activity. We would come home to find every faucet turned on full blast in both bathrooms and the kitchen. Every drawer and cabinet in the kitchen would be open wide, too. We would hear footsteps up & down the stairs at night, and things would go missing for days, only to reappear where they should have been. Many times, there would be a small black ashtray in the middle of our bed with a small flashlight standing up in it. When I was away 2 years ago, my husband was sleeping on the couch in the den. One of the cabinet doors in the kitchen was opening and slamming shut over & over again. It was so strong it chipped the veneer off the door. He yelled at "it" to stop and it did. It was a little unnerving! Our new home has no activity and I miss it.

Yes my Mom's friend from a while ago live in a house in downtown Grand Rapids around 1973, and wasn't very sure about anything until her neighbor told her that her house was in a book called, Haunted Houses Of Grand Rapids, by a journalist Don Farrent, in 1969.
