Is listening to binaural beats safe?

  Its depends upon the frequency you were listening to. Usually alpha waves have a plesant effect but if you were listening to low theta and delta frequencies you probably put your brain into a brainwave state that it is not normally used to. Some people can naturally produce and handle theta but many others cannot-- not while they are awake anyway. In normalhumans, theta is only achieved while falling asleep. Fooling around with binaural beats when you have no idea what you are doing is not a harmless activity. For some people-- especially those who might be potentially epileptic-- it could have undesirable consequences. Of course the people who make those binaural beatsdon't warn others about them. Oh, BTW, chakras aren't real but what really matters in altered state of consciousness are the brainwave *frequencies" and how you deal with those.
