Where to find cute fonts?

Windows XP: Where can I find fonts for cmd.exe?

  • On the windows help pages (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB&EN-US&Q247815) it says "If it is a TrueType font, it must be FF_MODERN". Where can I find such fonts and is there a way to display or sort fonts in %windir%\fonts such that the relevant fonts which have this characteristic are seen?

  • Answer:

FF_MODERN represents monospaced fonts like courier. So you could add a TrueType monospaced font  to the fonts directory, then enable the font for use in the command prompt (via editing the registry). You change the font by right-clicking on the  top bar of the cmd window and selecting 'properties'. Simply typing  this question into Google brings up pages and pages and pages and pages and pages of information, all detailing this very situation, many of which I'm sure will explain what you need to add into the registry
