Can anyone provide me the names of best hospitals in Pune?

Which institutes or people provide mentorship or guidance for student startup in pune?

  • I am Student from MIT, Pune working on startup in pune. I am member of http://punestartups.org for quite time now but didn't meet anyone interested to mentor. (May be i was lacking in communication). Is there any individual who can guide for our web based startup ? Technical guidance is needed.

  • Answer:

There are lots and lots of people on PuneStartups who are happy to mentor new founders. If you're not finding them, I think one of these might be a problem: You're asking in the wrong place (did you post a request on the mailing list? did you attend any events and talk to the seniors there?) You're not asking loudly enough You're not disclosing your idea (nobody wants to mentor a person who's afraid that his idea is going to get stolen) And yes, do what said.

Dear Anon, you're definitely not lacking in communication as you've written, posted the question and successfully tagged me. Not sure where you feel the gap really is. What I'd suggest is, 1. Don't be shy, make your voice heard on the http://punestartups.org forums. Be a regular participant there on the many active threads that are going on right now. Some may not be directly related to your startup, but might be threads that are a good match to your interests. Give attention and you will receive it as well. 2. Approach people on http://punestartups.org directly with specific questions as you have done here. 3. Participate in the office hours section by approaching the relevant experts. 4. The most critical - proactively talk about your ideas, skills and progress on the forum. If you don't do that, mentors won't know why they should get involved with you. Mentors come with their own limitations, specialties and no one mentor can help you with every issue that you will face. Lastly, trust yourself! A startup dies the moment you stop executing on it. Lack of good mentors never killed a startup.
