What is the best lotion for a healing tattoo?

    You're not gonna like it. I heal mine up dry, as do all the other tattoo artists I know. The body is it's own best healer. If you just keep it clean, don't pick at it, don't soak in water, swimming or bathtub, and leave it alone, it'll do fine. You would not believe the number of tattoos that get screwed up every year, by people glopping stuff on them. Ask a few tattoo artists what they think about healing them up dry. (No need to take my word for it.) Take care.

Use vitamin A-D ointment for about 12-14 days.Use just enough to keep it moist not wet. It won't scab and cause damage or loss of color.

Whats the names mate

i use whats called H2Ocean its very good stuff i apply it to my tattoo 3 to 4 times an day and it healed in about 6 days total. it doesn't sting and it smells really good.

I have a bunch of tattoos and the cream that worked the best is made of fish oil. I am not from the States so I can't tell what would it be called there but ask a pharmacist to give you one made with fish oil. Might smell a bit but it makes wonders with your skin.
