How does it feel to get a tattoo?

it feels like a scratching burn feeling!

depending on the size of the art, the place where you want it and your personal pain thresh hold. is all mixed up in what it will feel like to you. I have 1 on the nape of my neck and it tickled like crazy. I have 1 on the small of my back and it felt like a bee sting. I just got my 3rd on my chest between my breasts and collar area and it felt like a bad pinch except when the artist got over beside my arm pit now THAT HURT...... lol so it all depends on you what it will feel like

Just take the end of a paper clip or even a safety pin and rub it repeatedly across your skin. The pain depends on which part of the body you're tattooing and your tolerance for pain.

Depends on where. l got one on my upper arm. So i'll tell you how that felt for me. It feels like little pinches but after a while it was just a buzz..kinda felt good actually.

Well i guess it really depends how big the tattoo is going to be and if it requires more than one visit. I have seven small tattoos each took about 15-20 mins to do. I also think it depends where on your body you have the tattoo as some places hurt more than others. When i had my tattoos done the feeling is quite hard to explain it is kind of like a graze feeling its not like a cut. The outside of the tattoo tends to hurt more then the inside less. Well I haven't gotten a tattoo, but I plan to get one and I have asked this question many times. My cousin has 3 tattoos and her nose pierced. I also had my nose pierced and it didn't hurt too bad. But my cousin said that even though nose piercings hurt really bad, its a FAST pain....a tattoo is just really slow, so it depends on how well you tolerate pain. But then my aunt has a tattoo on her ankle and she said it just felt like it was burning a little bit, but it was tolerable.

emgee is dead right! I would add, .. 'ah, not bad,... blah, blah, blah, ... YIKES! #%*&!!! OMG!,... (tears, grit teeth),... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, well that was intense,.. where was I, oh, yeah, .. blah, blah, .. ow.. blah, ....'. etc.
