How do i get into the UEFA CL in FIFA 10?

Ive been playing FIFA 10 alot now and during the manager mode how do you enter in the UEFA CL? or any other trophies you can win what do i need to do?

What team are you using? If you're team is in England, Italy, or Spain, then you need to place in the top 4 of the league. The first season you will never make it, no matter what team you use. Also, in the game, it is called ECC (European Champions Cup).
