How is diwali celebrated?

Diwali... I need to know how it is celebrated.?

  • What is the significance of Diwali? Why is it celebrated?

  • Answer:

The actual name of Diwali is "Dipawali" which means festival of lights. On the day of Diwali, people blow small clay lamps filled with oil that shows the victory of good on bad. This festival is celebrated because on this day Sri Ram along with His wife Sia and Her Brother Lakshman came back to their home Ayodhya after facing 14 years of coventry(vanvaas) and on that day people lighted up their home and from that day each year this festival is celebrated i hope that now you know the significance of Diwali and why it is celebrated...
