How can I add free links to my site?

If a link on your site links out to a site that has malware and you add no-follow to the malware site...?

  • Will the no-follow protect you from being down ranked in googles eyes or should i not link out to it anyways?

  • Answer:

Dear A.M., This is what will happen. Google will warn people with a full-screen red message telling them not to go to your site because they've found a link to a malware site. Hence, your traffic from Google will go overnight down to zero, nada, niente, rien du tout. Kapput! Don't do it. P.S.: You'll get a message from Google in Google Webmaster Tools notifying you about this issue and giving you instructions on how to reinstate your site in search engine results pages (SERP). —Pascal Perry Online Findability and SEO Strategist

if you know it that the other site is malware affected then obviously you should not do this.

Don't do it at all, search spiders still follow nofollow links, though they are not link juice conductors. I can't say how much it could effect your ranking , you would not be condemned with an attack site warning by association.
