Ok.. so a lot of people here are listing these tools.. 1-SENUKE 2-Traffic Kahuna 3-Bookmarking Demon 4-Xgenseo 5-Scrapebox 6-Xrummer but let me give you the reality.. Really the only software tool you need is SEnuke X. There is a really good review put together at http://kickassreport.com/senuke-x-review It goes in to more the nuts and bolts of SEnuke X. I would stay away from Xgenseo.. its hard to setup and manage. Better to pay someone to use that tool for you.. you can find a company out there at already knows how to use it. Scrapebox is a great tool and I own it.. but you don't need it until you have about 10k links to your site.. It can look a little spamy to Google if you use it for a site that is to new and not enough links. \ Bookmarking Demon - You don't need this if you get SEnuke X. Yes, SEnuke X is a monthly paid tool but its because they are always updating it and making sure it works if a site changes there setup. To pay 100 bucks per month for a tool that replaces 8 people working an 8 hour day!

There are a few good options, but are you looking to get your site SEO or are you looking at just promotion of the site? It depends on what type of website you are talking about too. If you are blogging and using WordPress, I would definitely add SOEPressor plugin. It's one of the main reasons I am able to get my content ranked on the first page of Google. As mentioned in previous posts, SEnuke X, although expensive is a great tool. If you are just looking at promoting your website, I would recommend joining a tribe. There are a bunch out there, and being new to the whole SEO game can make it difficult to know which software to go with. My advice would be to look for the ones that offer a free trial (so you can get a feel for how it works without having to spend money) and then decide accordingly. LotusJump is a pretty solid DIY seo tool that has a free trial. SEOmoz, at least at one point, had a trial version (not sure if they do anymore) Good luck!
