There are many new shops popping up in Bali all the time, While I can't remember the name of particular shops because I don't go shopping for these items, I do know that there are several lines of baby and children's wear now being produced by foreigners in Bali. Take a walk around Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. You should be able to find something that is cute, colorful and that will look great on your baby.

hi there are three supermarkets where you can get baby goods as well as other necessary goods such as water, fresh milk, bakery, snack foods etc etc. matahari kuta bintang supermarket legian and a very good place with a huge range is the new carrefour shopping centre. a short taxi ride from kuta (sunset strip). they have a bigger range here. i would suggest taking the time to get a taxi here. nappies, wet ones, baby talc, lotions, baby clothes and accessories etc all very cheap. there is a huge range of disposables. heinz and golden circle baby food is not cheap and a small selection compared to australian shops. i do suggest that you take your own formula, baby food varieties and baby cereal. i have always taken those few things and bought the other items over there. that way you are assured of having the flavours that your baby enjoys. there is plenty of UHT juice poppers (if your son drinks them ) so you won't need to take those. if you are taking a stroller take a very light weight fold up one and a back pack if you have one. a lot of footpaths are not good and it can be difficult to push a pram in some places. i took a cheap stroller i got from a garage sale to keep the weight down. then if you have a lot of luggage coming home you can just leave it there. the matahari in kuta has some great baby clothes the prices are really cheap. another good thing to take is some milton tablets from oz and buy some wash up detergent at the supermarket in bali to clean and steralise baby bottles and dummies, teething rings etc. remember not to use ANY tap water for your baby. as mentioned you can buy bottled water from the supermarket (cheapest place). the airlines will allow you to take drinks for your baby as long as they are in a baby bottle with teat. they won't allow poppers or any other liquids over 100g. this includes creams lotions, baby cream toothpaste etc. so anything you take on board for your baby needs to be under the allowable rate (except baby formula bottles) otherwise they will take them. you can buy yoghurt and fruit (if your baby eats them from the supermarket also) have fun.
