Is 1800 a bad SAT score? Should I retake the SATs?

  The overall 1800 is not a bad score (Max= 2400), but it really depends on the schools your looking to apply to. The low math score might hurt and require you to take some mandatory math classes that people who scored 550 or above may not have to take, but again this depends on the school and program you apply to. Personally, I would consider taking the test again and try to improve your math score. Even if you do worse in reading or writing your highest scores will be the ones colleges will take into account for the final SAT score. However, if your high-school GPA and strength of schedule are impressive, and if you remembered to participate in extra-curricular activities, this can help your chances of getting into your choice colleges.
