Whats the Difference Between SAT and ACT?

basically act tests only reading grammar mechanics trig advanced algebra and science skills, like reading charts graphs and tables. sat tests logic writing geometry vocab and advanced reading. btw act writing section is at end of test unlike sat which is in beginning and act writing is optional sat is graded from 200-800 for each section reading writing and math for max of 2400 act is composite score, avg of all sections math science english and reading, the max is 36 also sat has 10 randomly ordered sections of different material but one of them is unscored act has 4 sections that are always in same order for more in depth, look them up on wikipedia

The SAT only tests math, critical reading, and writing/grammar, whereas the ACT tests science as well. Basically, the ACT tests how much (and how well) you've learned, whereas the SAT tests how well you think. People who don't do well on one usually do well on the other. Another perk about the ACT is that you can decide which scores you want to send to colleges, whereas the SAT sends all at once. See which test the college you want to go to requires. Also, focus on your strengths. If you took the PSAT or PLAN (practice ACT), you should already have a pretty good idea of how well you'll do on the SAT or ACT. You might also want to consider taking some practice tests online and see how well you do. If you end up taking one of the tests and fail miserably, you can always try the other one.
