  • Can someone please tell me what they do exactly for SATs I have to take them this year and i dont know how to study for it, what do i study anways?? whats the test about, what ...show more

  • Answer:

Take your time don't rush like everyone thinks you have to rush but you don't. relax at each question and ask yourself, "Wait, how r they trying to trick me here," you can put the average answer down, the questions are quite simple but people freak out, get nervous, and write the wrong answers. Just be like hmm well this could be right, but this one could be too, than, eliminate the one that is more prone to error. Think twice think twice

well book stores should have books to help you prepare for the SAT's. the tests have lots of big vocabulary words and the math part is somewhat hard. you also need to know how to write a good essay. the subjects are critical thinking, math, and writing. i'm pretty sure you can find a tutor in your area depending on where you live. i'm not exactly sure how much it would cost though it depends on the tutor. and make sure you manage your time well during the test because once they call times up, time really is up and you can't go back and fill in anything else, but... its better to get the answers you know correct rather than rush to finish it but have many mistakes because in my SAT book as a tip it says that you earn more points for correct answers rather than wrong answers. when you get an answer right, you earn a full point. you get no points for omitting answers which is better than guessing and getting 1/4 of a point subracted from your score because you got them wrong. sorry it sounds so confusing. for example lets say you get 5 questions right and you omit 5 questions. you will get 5 points for that. but if you get 5 questions right, 4 wrong, and omit 2, your score will be 4. that may not sound like a lot of points but of course the test has a lot more questions than that and it will make a difference. you should concentrate more on the easy questions and only do the hard ones if you have remaining time left. the questions always go from easy to hard. so its better to get the easy ones all correct then if you have time, try to answer the hard ones. if you dont have time, you can omit them and get no penalty for it. hope i helped
