SAT Vocabulary?

Is there a free website to learn some SAT vocabulary? I already know all the ones where you have to pay but I don't want any of those.

Answer:
Forget the webistes and buy a book. The SAT will be pen and paper and you should start practicing that way as well. get used to seeing the words on paper and practicing answering the vocab questions in sample tests (like those in any good SAT manual) I taught SAT prep classes for Kaplan and I can tell you honestly, that the biggest service these test prep companies provide is that they sit kids down for 2 hrs a week to practice (in class) and assign kids to do about 2hrs of practice each week at home. If you can be disciplined enough to do 2-4 hours of sample tests on your own at home, you will be far more prepared than diddling around on a website. Best strategies for voca b questions 1. Buy a book and do (at least) one sample verbal SAT each weeks 2. Make flashcards (based on the words in the book's list). Keep them in your bathroom and use them every night before bed and first thing every morning when you wake up (perhaps while brushing teeth) and whenever you are sitting down to poop. This will add up to about 10min a day or over one hour a week of flashcard practice!

This site will give you both electronic and printable flash-cards. They also have links to where you can buy SAT books. http://www.soundkeepers.com/SAT/ This site has a big list of words next to the definitions. http://www.freevocabulary.com/ ;-D Don't spend too much time online. Pace yourself and use what ever method you have time for. ;-D A good book you might look at is called 'Activator.' It gives some useful visual clusters that help remember related words. It is similar to a dictionary. I use it with the ESL students.
