The ACT and the SAT are two very different tests. The SAT is based upon the IQ test, while the ACT is based upon the Iowa basic skills test. The ACT tests you on subjects you learned in school - the hardest part is answering all of the questions in the time allotted. You should purchase the Real ACT study guide to get acquainted to the types of questions asked, the sections and the test overall. Make sure to read the tips and strategies section as well; for example, unlike the SAT, there are no deductions for incorrect answers. For much more information about the differences between the two tests, listen to the podcast, "ACT versus SAT - What's Best for You?."
