    It appears you followed a guide to write this essay. Is that true? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/645763-how-write-12-essay-just-10-days.html That won't alter your score (from me) at all (whether or not you followed this guide or a similar one). I'm simply curious. I would give you a 4-5. There are numerous noticeable grammatical errors, some phrases were worded quite.. oddly ('It is no surprise that what the women..' for example), not to mention you focused on a mere single example: 'women's rights' (or rather, suffrage? not sure). You had a strong introduction and an adequate conclusion, but the body can most certainly be improved. You appear to have a relatively strong command of the English language, and I'm sure if you created another example, it would have added another point onto your score (5-6). I am not an expert on SAT essays but I would recommend the usage of 2+ thorough examples within your essay. Good luck, Troy
