What will be on the 9th grade SHSAT?

OMG SHSAt 9th grade?!!??!?!?

    Well, of course they're not the same... The math includes graphing inequalities, finding areas of portions of cubes, factorials, permutations and combinations, and the verbal is just seasoned by a touch of difficulty. Don't worry too much. ;) Trust me. How do you think so many other people get into schools like Stuy? Nervousness is okay, but not too much. It allows you to release adrenalin, which makes you more alert. Study, study, study. Eat a healthy breakfast on the day. Relax on the day before and day when you take the test. Furthermore, if you do not get a specialized school, DON'T worry. There are other good schools, like Hunter College High School and Townsend Harris. :) (This advice is coming from an eight grader who took it the day before yesterday, and you're a ninth grader.) :P

the ninth grade tests are harder because test makers want to test you on ninth grade math to see if you are good enough to get into Stuyvesant, Brooklyn tech... One of the main reasons it is harder is because there are less spots in the tenth grade for ninth graders taking the test. The math is made not much harder, only with the fact that there are inequalities graphs, and basic trigonometry.the English is mostly the same.my friend retook the test for Stuyvesant, but wasn't accepted, because even though less ninth graders take the test there are usually only around 20 available seats in the specialized high school that you apply to for tenth grade. -Stuyvesant student, 10Th grade
