  • Answer:

I am appalled that you were presented with this question unless it was used purely as a means to assess your reasoning skills. There is no right answer because the premise is flawed. You would have to start by considering what we mean by 'wrong' and to whom divorce might be seen as wrong. It would necessarily only be an opinion on their part, presumably based on some moral or perceived social norm the person has adopted. That doesn't make it objectively right or wrong. Right or wrong will always be subjective. It might be wrong for person 'A' but that doesn't mean it is wrong for person 'B'. If education has one over-riding purpose, it is to train you to THINK for yourself and to provide a basic tool kit to help you to do so. If you are being rewarded for spouting an approved opinion or penalised for holding a different opinion, that is brainwashing rather than education. Please resist those who would have you surrender your integrity. We each have a sense of right and wrong. The question you were set is very wrong by my standards.
