Oh the practice book compared to the test were nothing. The test was very difficult especially if you did not use your time wisely. The math was definitely harder this year. I knew i was not getting into Stuy but i was hoping for Tech or York. I may have gotten into one of them but i don't know. I think i did OK. nothing great. No you do not bring your applications but you will be given an admission ticket which you MUST bring to the test site. When you get there you will be divided into classrooms according to your place in the waiting line. You go to your assigned room. the proctor will provide scrap, booklet, answer sheet. they will let you use the bathroom. Then the test begins at the assigned time. everyone starts and ends at the same time. At the and you will hear an announcement that the test is over. I just came back from taking it about an hour ago. It was a little more than what i expected but for the most part it was fair. You have a year to prepare and i wish you the best of luck.

ok well for me the test was not that hard. and i only studied for like 2 weeks. the hardest part though was the math, i would like to go to stuyvesant, bronx science, tech, or mse. all the study guides were pretty equal, barrons and kaplan. i think i got between 80 and 90, somewhere in the mid 500's.yes you need to bring the application. be warned, the test is a bit more challenging than the practice tests on the study books, so just because you get good grades on the books dont be too confident.
