  Home schooling is a great option in my opinion. I am un schooled wich is a little different. But I was home schooled for about 4 years before that :) if you really don't want it to home schooling doesn't have to cost ANYTHING, that's right. ANYTHING. You can get a lot of info from the internet, family, and libraries. But I use saxon math and www.time4learning.com There are groups, co-ops, and conferences for home/ un schoolers. 100's of families are choosing home school and un schooling because you get to learn what you want to learn and when to learn it. Every state is different. In some states they couldn't care less about what you are learning and when. But in some states you have to sign sheets at the end of the year saying what you have done. colleges are now choosing home schooler and un schoolers OVER public schoolers because they learn faster, and are usually better thinkers. home schooling is a big change from public school but it is also great :) I am 2 years ahead of some of my friends in school. ( they are in 9th grade and I'm in 11th ) I will be going to college when I'm seventeen because I will be done with school then :) But I'm not forced to learn anything from my parents. I have chosen to learn and get ahead like this. They have never told me I had to learn anything, it was my own personal choice because I want to be a nurse :) I have hundreds of friends who are un schooled and some friends that are in public school. But to really know what you need to know you just have to keep researching! Dayna Martin is an un schooling mom that has a book out. My parents recommend any parents who want to un school or home school read it. It's a great book full of information and great experiences. good luck! - an active un schooler
