idk if you have ever been in public school, but try to pretend that you are. instead of doing work whenever you feel like it, say: 8-9am: pre calculus lesson 9-10am: work on physics lab 10-11: read short stories for Literature 11-12: lunch 12-12:30: review for history test 12:30-1: history test etc.

depends... do you want to graduate?

I'm homeschooled online and find myself unfocused sometimes too. Most people don't understand how hard it really is. What I do is think about my goals. Now for me that is: a) going to Berkeley b) write a novel c) be successful and happy. Now if you focus on your goals, it could make it easier to focus. If that doesn't work, try breaking things down. I don't know how many class you have, but try to work on just a class a day. But try to finish that week's assignments in that day. And remember that if you don't understand something, contact someone who can help you, your teacher or maybe your parent. Don't wait until the last possible second to contact them just because you are afraid to ask a question. I have this problem often and then I realize that if I just get it over with, then I can finish the class much sooner. If none of this works, then I guess the final thing to try would be to give yourself rewards after you finish an assignment. That doesn't mean if you finish ONE assignment you give yourself the rest of the day off. Your reward should be something like you can listen to your favorite song or maybe go outside for some fresh air. And if you finish all your assignments you planned to do for that day, maybe go out with some friends that night. Just remember that graduating is the most important thing right now and if you don't stay focused, it won't happen. = )

Rewards and breaks help me a lot, but they both take a lot of discipline and you must stick to them, or it will not work effectively. Breaking up your study time instead of working straight for hours at a time helps me because then I can have mental breaks and then get back to studying. Breaks can be anything from taking a quick walk, getting a snack, surfing the net, playing a computer game, etc. Sometimes I will work for 50 min to an hour and then give myself a 10 to 15 min break. If you take breaks, make sure you do get back to your work. Find what works best for you. Rewards work well for me too. If I want to watch a show or go out with friends to a movie or something, I'll work on getting work done before I do any fun things. I might say "I cannot go to the movie until I finish reading this chapter for biology". Once I have finished, I'm free to go have fun, I have finished some of my work, and there is no need to worry about that part of work any more because I have finished it. Motivation comes from within. I know it can be hard, but you need to find it so you can get your work done! Work on not opening other windows and browsers on your computer while you are working on school work so you do not get distracted. Try not to just rush through work to just get it over and be done. You get nothing out of it then. There is not really a point in doing it in the first place then if you aren't learning anything. Take your time and learn things as you do your work. Don't think of homework as being in the way, think of it as being part of your way. It is your way to furthering your education and becoming a more knowledgeable individual. It may take time to adjust and find what works for you, but you can do it! Good luck! =)

I believe homeschool isn't for everyone. People who are not motivated or determined by nature will have trouble with homeschool. Although it's not impossible for the people with these characteristics to do online homeschool, it takes self dicipline.
