You need to find this web site on your own, BUT there is one that has FREE classes for all the grades K through 12. When you find it, Just be sincere and honest with your parents. Show them what it means to you. My son is "home schooling" also. He is trying to graduate early so he can enlist in the Marines. Since his mother died and I became disabled, my income is near nothing. My son want to help support me. His grades are perfect 4.0. He took the SATs last year and made a 1560 score. This will be good for you, IF you can do the work and do it every day. You have to Stay Off of the Video Games Period. That is a deal breaker.

I don't think you are a good candidate for online schooling. It requires a parent to be present and act as your learning coach. It is up to you to do the lessons. Because it is the same as every other public school in your state, you will get the same subjects, number of days, number of hours of instruction each day, standardized tests, etc. etc.etc. Teachers are hired for normal school hours and often have way more students that time. There is no teacher standing by to answer your questions when they come up. Here's what K12's advertising doesn't tell you: http://blogs.edweek.org/teachers/living-in-dialogue/2014/01/15_months_in_virtual_charter_h.html No, you will not have any partners. You will have time to ask questions but who will you ask? You will have all the distractions you already have at home - tv, computer, phone, parents, siblings? No, you won't be embarrassing yourself, there will be no one there. No, you will not have more free time. You must follow state laws that require (usually 6) hours of instruction each day and (usually) 180 days a year. You will be scrambling to catch up on lessons you did not complete because of the distractions. Read some of the other questions here about "how am I ever going to get caught up?" I'm sorry but you would be trading your education for a situation you have created as some sort of ideal that does not exist. 50% of online students drop out. Only about 25% actually graduate and in Colorado students in online schools test in the bottom 11% on statewide standardized test against their in school peers. this is the reality: Online schools spend millions to attract students. Virtual, for-profit K-12 schools have spent millions in taxpayer dollars on advertising, an analysis shows. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/11/28/online-schools-ads-public-/1732193/ Virtual Schools Are Spending Millions of Taxpayer Dollars On Advertising 8/ 7/13. http://fcir.org/2013/08/07/k12-inc-florida-for-profit-schools/ States Struggle To Keep Online Schools Accountable http://www.pewstates.org/projects/stateline/headlines/states-struggle-to-keep-online-schools-accountable-85899451690 2/15/13 Virtual School Profits Far Exceeding Performance May 17, 2013 http://neatoday.org/2013/05/17/virtual-schools-profits-far-exceeding-performance/?utm_source=nea_today_express&utm_medium=email&utm_content=virtualschool&utm_campaign=130612neatodayexpress Cyber schools flunk, but tax money keeps flowing 9/26/13 http://www.politico.com/story/2013/09/cyber-schools-flunk-but-tax-money-keeps-flowing-97375.html#ixzz2gQD7kZhB From Junk Bonds to Junk Schools: Cyber Schools Fleece Taxpayers for Phantom Students and Failing Grades 10/2/13 http://www.prwatch.org/news/2013/10/12257/junk-bonds-junk-schools-cyber-schools-fleece-taxpayers-phantom-students-and-faili School Reform and the Profit Motive By Jay Mathews The Washington Post Tuesday, November 12, 2013 http://www.vnews.com/news/schools/9128319-95/schoolreformandthe-profitmotive (CO) Colorado’s Virtual Academy District’s Charter in Jeopardy http://www.kunc.org/post/colorado-virtual-academy-s-district-charter-jeopardy (CO) Colorado Virtual Academy Answers Tough Questions on Operations, Academic Performance http://www.kunc.org/post/colorado-virtual-academy-answers-tough-questions-operations-academic-performance Why don't you talk to your parents and see if its possible to find out why you cannot concentrate? Perhaps they would consider actually homeschooling you where they would have the flexibility to use materials that you understand better and work with you on your lessons. There are other solutions, other options your parents might consider. I just don't think online school would be a good fit for you - its just another public school in your state. Same as all the others.
