It takes a really long time for them to process your papers, and they keep saying that my information is 'invalid', which it isn't. They kinda suck?

My children have attended Connections Academy for three years. Both in South Carolina and Georgia. This is our last year. I have a LONG list as to why I would never recommend this school to anyone. First, both my children are in middle school now and both are identified gifted. The administration of the school, in both states, is woefully incompetent. I say this because each student has a rigorous calendar of lessons on a daily basis; assessments, quiz or test daily in each course, mandatory live lesson attendance in each class every week, "Portfolios" or projects due each unit of every class(anywhere from 4 to 6 per class a semester). Now here is where the incompetence comes in: No one vets the outcome of a decision made. They add major projects, approx. 3 semester, additional study guides that must be turned in prior to each unit test, additional mandatory live lessons as early as 7am and as late as 7pm, in general many other unnecessary mandatory items. My students are losing there love of learning because they are just expected to turn it out regardless of the amount of time it takes. Oh and yes they add their on in house testing, in addition to any state mandated testing, three times a year and threaten and bully you and your students to take them. Any parent considering this school should look long and hard, talk to parents that have children enrolled. We will be going to true home schooling and at least my children can get the AP classes and actually have time to learn the material not just memorize. We left the brick and mortar public school system because of bullying. Believe me it is worse here only from the teachers and administration. Unfortunately, Connections is a business and they are only interested in the funds they receive for each enrolled student. I hope this information is helpful and that it will help students and parents avoid a terrible situation.
