What oil does McDonald's use to cook their fries?

    they use beef fat to cook and flavor there fries, they are by no means vegetarian. Here is the ingredients list from mcdonalds official website for French Fries: Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor [wheat and milk derivatives]*, citric acid [preservative]), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), salt. Prepared in vegetable oil (Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness). Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent. CONTAINS: WHEAT AND MILK *(Natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as starting ingredients). Notice the beef flavoring?

They use canola oil for everything. They also keep it really clean because there is a "quality assurance" setting for the friers. Which means when it gets to dirty, the alarm goes off for you to clean it or drain it out, and refill it.

It amazes me that someone can post the ingredients and yet still think say they were cooked in beef fat. NO - they don't use beef tallow or beef fat. The beef flavoring even states is is based on milk NOT BEEF. I can't believe someone would actually post something and not read nor fully understand it and they lie in the same answer. Just amazing......
