From "Seinfeld": Was Kramer's idea of a make-your-own pizza place really that bad?

I think it's a good idea actually! Our local pizzeria has a wood fired oven with one of those conveyor belts. I'd love to make my own pizza :-) Great question! :D

Well, at least that's a better idea than having the homeless pull richshaws!!!

In this economy, I don't know how profitable it could be for the owners, but I think people would enjoy making their own pizzas. If they wanted less sauce and more cheese or vice versa, they could customize it exactly as they liked. I think it would be a big hit with kids. The only drawback is, that some pizza chains are really having great deals right now, with medium and large pizzas with multiple toppings for $5 and $10. Also, a lot of people just want to run in and pick up their pizza and go, or they want it delivered. For myself, if I was going to make pizza, I'd rather make my own at home. Still, it's an interesting, fun idea.

Heck yeah, I love making my own and I reckon you could even make it a family event really, each having a half to make as they want, would be a great idea, although you could always do it as like a number and have the professionals cook it, then call your number and then you just collect it, would definitely be fun :)

No one would want to wait the 20-30mins it would take for the pie to cook. Although it is not a bad idea, it is not very economical business wise.
