What counts as "off peak" when talking about trains Manchester to London?

  • have bought online an "off peak" return - it just says valid on any off peak train but does not tell me what counts as peak and off peak! Surely on a three-hour journey ...show more

    no problems at all arriving into London at 9pm,leaving Manchester will probably be ok too, when its classed as off peak that means the whole journey is off peak, you don't aquire a peak period down the line

Are you serious? Peak period is the time people are commuting to/from work. Off peak refers to the time (either 9:30AM or 10AM) after the morning peak. Restrictions on the evening peak are rare outside of London
