I'm interested in purchasing a 95 Saab 900 in good condition, but the miles are pretty high at 196,000. I am waiting to hear back from them if it's an Automatic or Manual ...show more

Answer:
Varies a whole lot. Figure 150,000 to 333,000. I've heard of million mile cars needing 2 new transmissions. Once I heard of a car (not a Saab) with 1M miles and 6 (!) transmissions. A 1995 900 should be cheap. 3,000 tops. As low as 200 if in bad shape. Price can vary a lot. I'm talking about US $ and a car in the US. Other countries may vary

At 196,000 it needs a new tranny and a new car to go with it. That mileage is way too high. Walk away.
