Porsche boxster or cayman?

Why do some Porsche enthusiast don't like the Cayman and Boxster ?

  I'm a long-time Porsche Club member. I know a lot of Porschephiles, some of whom drive Boxsters and Caymans. I've never met anyone who owns a Porsche who "don't like the Cayman and Boxster," and that's my experience with hundreds of Porsche owners. The Cayman, in particular, is considerably prettier than the 911. As rear mid-engine cars, both the Boxster and the Cayman are inherently more stable - better cornering for average drivers - than the 911, which is the last production rear engine car (center of gravity of the engine/transaxle is slightly behind the centerline of the rear wheels). Porsche does reserve its highest power engines for the 911, and engineering has done wonders for that car's cornering in the hands of a novice, but a top end 911, such as mine, can cost three times the base price of a Boxster. There's a good reason Porsche makes both the Boxster and the Cayman. Car and Driver recently rated roadsters, including the Porsche Boxster, BMW Z3, Audi TT, etc. Their conclusion: "Forget the rest, they're just fighting for second place behind the Boxster."
