I need some input about a Porshe 928?

1979 928 Porshe. Gas mileage?

  • How much gas mileage does a 1979 928 Porsche get. City and highway. Thanks

  • Answer:

About 13mpg. Also, consider this when thinking about this as your first car: parts are "exotic car" prices for everything. I own a 928S and a 924S...the 928 parts, even used or aftermarket, are usually 3-4 times more than the 924S.

you spelled Porsche wrong. the 1979 928 PORSCHE doesn't get many miles per gallon... about 12 m.p.g. city and 20 m.p.g. highway gas mileage, like i said, not much at all!

If you have to ask you can't afford it and a 928 should not be your first car ever. While 2000 isn't much money you should understand that yearly maintenance will run at least that much if not double. Considering the age of the car that's not much money but if you're on any kind of budget remember this phrase. There is no such thing as a budget 928. Unless you know how to wrench on the car yourself a timing belt/waterpump job will run you the cost of the car. Thumbs down won't alter the truth which two actual owners of 928's have now given you. So do what you want. You won't be the first or last person to have tears in his eyes when your car is on the lift and you don't have the money to fix it.
