How can I make my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT faster?

First car, 2000 pontiac grand am GT or 2003 pontiac grand prix GT?

    the grand am is probably better on gas, but it depends on the engine. I have a 2000 grand am and a 02 grand prix and our grand prix has already had a transmission replaced and is now sitting in the driveway and we're trying to figure out whats wrong. the grand am is much easier to work on. Look at mileage and the condition of the vehicle.

TROUBLE

stay away from the grand am. i have a 01 GAGT and each year i have a major repair on it. ive had the car for 3-4years and ive had to get a new transmission, head gasket, intake gasket, egr valve, cat converter, thermostat, ac went out. everyone has had probs with grand ams!!! when it runs its a decent car to drive tho =) oh the monsoon radio sucks btw. mine averages 21mpg city/highway =/
