Mechanic said that some 96 mercury sables were made w/o power steering pressure hose, should i replace mine?

if you can turn with ease with out yanking on the wheel then you have power steering and it did come with the pressure and return lines, if it's leaking you may be able to get by with some power steering stop leak but that's just a temporary fix, my suggestion is take it to another mechanic for a second opinion and start pricing power steering pumps(i.e. kragen, autozone, carquest stores)
