yes,it's only hot in summer. but it can also get pretty warm in spring and until the end of september. and no, the sun doesn't only shine in summer. I live in the Northern part of Switzerland and we have a sunny climate. also in the south, they have a lot of sunshine too. not every part of switzerland is cold in winter. of course it can get freezing in the mountains during winter but in the lower parts of the country it's as cold as everywhere else in europe.
