Is the new $8000 First time home buyer tax credit Taxable income?
-
If we get the $8000 tax credit for buying a home, is this considered taxable income when we file our taxes the following year?
-
Answer:
Of all the websites I've looked at for this it says nothing about it being taxable income that you'd have to claim the following year. Call your mortgage lender, they should be able to tell you for sure.
