    47.5sFr/h is not that much if it's before tax. Zurich has a good public transportation though, so it's still possible to rent something in a suburb for less money. And don't forget- paradise cannot be cheap, but if you go to paradise - you should not count money.

Living costs in Switzerland are one of the highest in Europe. It's certainly not the cheapest place on the continent.

Okay Switzerland is pretty expansive and I can’t really give you a number about how much more but it will defiantly be more expansive than you are used to it but I am sure you will get paid better in Switzerland and this was probably the reason you accepted the job right? ;-) So this should be no problem. The question about Indian food, yes they defiantly have Indian food! And Indian restaurants as well :)
