Going to madrid, spain in agosto. anything to do more than museos and puerto del sol?

Visit the webstie gospain.com or sispain.com. They have plenty of different activities that you can do while in Madrid and yet still miss the tourist crowd. I love el Palacio Real. The gardens are beautiful and you should take a walking tour as well through the older neighborhoods so view the architecture. It's amazing. If I didn't love living in Granada with my view of La Alhambra, I would live in Madrid.
