    I had nothing to do with the military, but I can tell you it's very near Cádiz in Andalucía, in the southern part of the country. It's not terribly far from Gibraltar. I have heard that it is cheaper and nicer to live off base. I don't know first hand. It's the nicest part of Spain...the part that people think of when they think of Spain, flamenco, whitewashed houses, dark-eyed beauties, you know...and they really do wear those flamenco outfits for festivals! I was in Cádiz twice, many years ago...nice enough town. That's a nice coast, too. The Atlantic coast on the South...called the Costa de la Luz, and it's nice, but much less crowded than the Mediterranean. I imagine you'll like it there.
