Not really aware of any sites where you can check this sort of trip out. I guess you could put an advert in a local paper, maybe find someone that way? You could try the YHA (Youth Hostels) they are for all ages and many have notice boards where people are looking for car shares/travelling companions. Maybe a phone call or email to them for advice and information? Good luck with it and enjoy your trip.
