    Why would you choose to go to Spain if you know nothing about the country? Are you studying Spanish? If so, go for two semesters...one is a waste of time. You'll forget almost everything in no time at all. Great city with fun experiences? Anything you choose will be an adventure. Sevilla, Salamanca, Granada, are my first recommendations, but that really depends on your interests. Do a little research. YOU are the one going...YOU should do your research, then come back and ask some specific questions. Everyone has their own preconceived notions about what a year abroad should include. *edit* I repeat, if your purpose is to become fluent in Spanish, stay for a full year. Anything less is a waste of your time and money. Investigate the options. Start with which programs are connected to your school.
