A question for Spanish (Basque,Catalonia) people?

Some people support it and some others don't. 50% I would say. The origin of the players doesn't change things so much. There are no scots in England's team because Scotland has its own national team and scots can play official competitions with it. Besides, Scotland is not England, they're both part of the United Kingdom that also includes Wales and Northern Ireland (but each one with its own national team). In Spain there is no such thing: Catalan players have to play with Spain if they want to play the World Cup, European Cup or any other official competition because Catalonia's national team is not officially accepted in international competitions because of the Spanish Football Federation. The thing is that international organizations like FIFA, FIBA, etc. have no problem allowing Catalonia to participate in their tournaments... the only condition is the Spanish Football Federation accepts the participation of Catalonia with its own national team and, obviously, they won't allow that.
