  • Answer:

Hi, I'm 27 and I have lived in Spain (Alicante) for 19 years (from the age of 1 to 19). Spain is a wonderful country to live in, especially because of the weather and the food and the relaxed way of life. I really miss it now!! I had a moped from the age of 14. The official age to work is 16, but of course you can work unofficialy. I was a babysitter when I was 12! Learning the language is hard if you are an adult and don't speak any other languages. Don't believe otherwise. I am fluent but it is because I grew up with the language and went to a Spanish school all my life. Basically, for adults the degree of difficulty is proportionate to how man languages you already speak, if the answer is just 1 and it is not a latin language (French, Italian, Portuguese...) it is going to be a massive challenge. I very strongly discourage international schools, especially for younger kids as they will pick up the language quickly. I always went to a small local Spanish school and I have since gone on to a red brick UK university, so don't think that the Spanish education system is worse than in the UK. Good luck!

It has all the same laws as the rest of the community nations and living in the country you'll pick the lingo up easy.Don't know about the legal age for moped as most of them now are actually motor cycles but wear a helmet for sure.

Goddess A few words of advice if you wish to sit A-levels etc., in spanish or in english, you must learn to write in english much better the spelling in your note is horrendous to say the least you are not much of an advertisement for Spanish schools. I hope the person making the enquiries does not take you too seriously, I am sorry I do not wish to be rude, but you must check what you have written before you post it............bye.....
