Transit visa at Spanish airport (Barajas, Madrid)?

Visa to go outside the airport (Barajas) for few hours while having a transit in Madrid?

5 hours is hardly enough time to allow for late arrivals, and international security getting back IN to the airport...you are better off to just hang tight...chances are, your flight IN to Barajas will be late, and then you wouldn't have time to leave...plus, you would be required to pick up your luggage and take it with you...really? You want to do that? Going through customs, and then checking in again?
