What kind of website do people want that doesn't exist yet?

A website which tells you what websites people want but don't exist yet. ---- EDIT (to make this more than just a cute self-referential answer): people don't really *want* websites. People have needs, desires and problems. When websites fulfill those needs and desires or removes those problems, they're worth something, sometimes millions. According to , the characteristics of great startups are the following: "they're something the founders themselves want, that they themselves can build, and that few others realize are worth doing."[1] You seem to want this website. You only need to worry about the last two characteristics. According to , "Ideas are cheap, execution is everything."[2] Which leads to an interesting situation. This cute answer will only be worth something if you execute it. But the product of that execution will not really solve your underlying problem, because the website will just contain website ideas (albeit qualified), because ultimately, "ideas are cheap, execution is everything." Run a search in social networks in the form of "I need a website that does X" or "Need an app to do Y".

You could start by typing the following into Google... "is there a website for" (include the quotes) I'd warn that just because people are asking for something doesn't mean many will pay for / use it. Testing & evolving whatever idea you have is essential: I recommend a book called "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries to give you ideas on how to achieve that.
